Nigeria won a pre-trial battle against JP Morgan

Nigeria has won a pre-trial battle against JP Morgan, as the state tries to prove that the bank paid out the proceeds of a signature bonus improperly.
As a result of a hearing on November 12, JP Morgan agreed to name those individuals who had been involved in approving the payment by December 3. The parties also set a timetable for the actual six-week trial.
A lawsuit was launched by the Nigerian government against U.S. bank JP Morgan Chase, claiming over $1.7 billion for its role in a disputed 2011 oilfield deal.
