(Video) HRH (Dr) Tajudeen Ajilekege: Igunnuko, Other Isese Worshippers Won’t Disappoint Government

HRH Dr Tajudeen Ajilekege Obatapa (Esuko 1)

Igunnuko Traditional Religion Believers Association of Nigeria (ITRBAN), celebrated the Isese Day which took on the 20th of August, 2023.
A visit to the palace of His Royal Highness, Dr Tajudeen Ajilekege Adeshina, Obatapa (Esuko 1) Ogun State by CREEKVIBES duo OLUWADAMILARE DANIELS and OMOH JACOBS opens up some hidden practice about the people, religion and their stand with the Federal Government of Nigeria.
ITRBAN like every other progressive organisation was registered under the CAC act with a registered number: RC/IT: 125683, on the 7th of March, 2019 and the organisation’s main objective is to promote and encourage a free propagation of the Igunnuko traditional belief throughout Nigeria, also to co-operate with other organisations established for the promotion and practice of traditional faiths.
The Lagos State Government recognised it and the Ogun State government gave them two slots during traditional rulers meetings.

The Igunnuko dresses in robes on stilts, during its manifestations, it spins like a tornado and increases in height, the ability of the Igunnu masquerade, to telescope into any height remains a mystery; the display of agility despite its height makes these masquerade’s performance a fascinating sight to behold.
According to Oba HRH (Dr) Tajudeen Ajilekege Adeshina, Obatapa, the registration of the organization was necessitated due to spits from other beliefs that sprung up against the Igunnuko fate, warning them not to come close nor pass through their vicinity during their festivity, the refined Igunnuko don’t go about with whips and the idea of you removing your shoes or slippers when you sight one is a forgotten issue.
The attack by other fate led to the arrest and detention of some of the children of the Igunnuko Kingdom.
Under the leadership of Oba Ajilekege the Igunnuko worshippers are equal to their counterparts. He promulgated peaceful co-existence with other tribes and religions, pledged his allegiance to the Federal Government, that the Igunnuko cult arm under the Isese body would not disappoint the government, and also said, if there is anybody within the Igunnuko fate who deviated and caused disaffection, will be handed over to the law enforcement agents for further interrogation.
Obatapa also revealed that all Isese worshippers held a meeting to support the government in all their endeavours to move the country back to its old glory.
He rounded up his interview saying; ‘Odale Baleku, eni to ba dale ko ni di ale,’ literally means ‘He who betrays the land with not live beyond a night.’
