Pomp And Pageantry at Prince (Dr) Yommy Eshinlokun Ogungbe’s Birthday

By ALPHONSUS N. EFFI
Ambassador (Dr.) Prince Yommy Eshinlokun Ogungbe, the Link bridge exponent, Marine entrepreneur/general merchant, and an astute grassroots politician, above all, a naturally motivated philanthropist, celebrated his birthday amid pomp the pageantry, on the 14th of July, 2023, at the famous Secretariat, Imole Eko events hall, Ijegun, Ikotun Egbe, Lagos.
The party saw in attendance party big wigs, well-wishers, business associates. It started at about 12 pm, and like every other dazzling event, the celebrant provided sumptuously for his guests, including non-invited guests popularly known as ‘mogbomoya’.

The birthday celebration took the turn of a carnival and lingered far beyond the stipulated 7 pm closing time, and the reason was not far-fetched. Prince Yommy Ogungbe, is a man of the people who has contributed immensely to the lives of residents, widows, less priviledge, likewise friends and relations.
The birthday celebration entertained graciously officials of local government authority; PDP chieftains, notable monarchs, and princes across Lagos State, including politicians from other political parties.

Creekvibes General Editor, Alphonsus Effi, recognised the presence of Evangelist Isreal Ogunrinde – PDP Ajeromi Leader, Alhaja Tanura Olusi – PDP Amuwo Odofin Leader, Alhaja Babs Olohun kemi – Former Amuwo Odofin LGA Chairman CPDP.
Dr Fawole – PDP State leader, Imole Eko Local Government coordinator, Imole Eko Local Government Women Leaders, Imole Eko Local Government Youth Leaders, and other dignitaries whose names I would not want to mention in this report ensured the party groovy till the late hours of the day.
The birthday party made a significant statement, and the man of the people gave thanks and praises to almighty GOD for protecting his life, once more to get to this day and time and many more years to come.
However, we cannot talk about the achievements of the Ambassador without discussing how he started his journey to stardom, his endeavours without mentioning his family background, his supportive wife, and the schools he attended to enhance his foundation to the advanced position/ development he is experiencing in his life today.
Throughout his primary school days, his teachers were fond of him and excited at his brilliancy. Excitedly after his secondary school education, he proceeded to the Lagos State Polytechnic, where he obtained his HND in Estate Management (Art/Sculpture). Knowing the importance of quality education, he proceeed to Lagos State University (LASU), where he obtained a degree in History/International Relations.

The philanthropic gestures of Imole Eko, Ambassador Prince Yommy Eshinlokun Ogungbe, knows no bounds; his prowess in the political arena of Lagos State and Nigeria at large can’t be sweep under the carpet; he is a more qualified candidate who can make a difference in whatever capacity he is called upon to serve.
Alhough young but highly experienced, he is a humanist with all the necessary humility, diligence and statecraft.
