I will take you to the river and show you how to fish. Do you understand why? If I give you fish, you will consume it. This is precisely what Prince Ambassador Yommy Eshinlokun Ogungbe is currently doing by instructing you on how to fish. In fishing, there are various techniques, and we must understand the environment we are in. Are you also aware that the federal government cannot reach out to everyone?
You may have heard remarks about artisans, often about their unreliability. I urge you to be the exception to this notion. Gen Z, it is essential for you to steer clear of Indian hemp and other substances that could divert you from your objectives. Establish a niche for yourself; if technical expertise is required, people will recommend you as a reliable individual capable of delivering quality work.
Those who are thriving in their businesses exhibit discipline. Your discipline is important to your success. A quote states, ‘Success is a journey filled with patience and endurance.’ This is what many of you are unwilling to embrace. You have just started on your business, yet you find yourself comparing your progress to someone who is already earning millions.
Some assert that success is rooted in endurance. You may observe numerous successful individuals, but you are unaware of their backgrounds. Vital points to consider for optimum success:
1: PDP – Personal Development Plan: What do I envision my net worth to be in 2026? Who or what do I aspire to become by the end of the year? You can undergo this training and still not be a better individual.
Understanding the strength of ploughing back is important in business; little drops of water make the mighty ocean.
2. APC: Action Plan for Change: What actions will you take? If you find yourself repeating the same actions without seeing any results, it is time to alter your approach. Aspirations without action are merely illusions. Progress step by step.
3. ADC: Assessment and Development Checkpoint: It is vital to be truthful with yourself; do not fantasize about building a million-dollar empire if you do not currently possess N10,000.
4. Long-Term Purpose: Eliminate friendships that do not enhance your life, as they may lead you off course. Everything you need to surpass the individuals in your line of business is within you. Strive to export your products across the shores; organizations like chambers of commerce are available to support your endeavours.
Success is not instantaneous; the day you plant a tree is not the day it will flourishes. You must nurture it, and that is where your perseverance is needed.
