BY OLUDANIELS
A standup comedian, Emcee, a comic relief exponent with his striking and hilarious nature has starred in ‘Twist of Fate’, ‘Sound of Blood’, he was a cast on ‘Arise Africa.’ He acted on the set of ‘Nne Ogbuefi.’
Sunday Emeremunjo, fondly called Opokopo while others called him Osuofia Junior due to his slight resemblance with Nkem Owoh. He is happily married with a son. In the Nigeria comic relief genre, Opokopo is a name to reckoned with.

He exhibited his imbue talent on the set of ‘The Wedding Party,’ he was the actor that ate rice with his bare hand, his acting skills has earned him several roles like that of a married man on the set of Achikolomi ‘My Village Dance.’
It may shock you to know that Opokopo, is an extraction of Oguta II, (Osuobodo) Imo State, whose parents died while he was 6-year-old, and was taken to Onitsha, Anambra State, where he served as ‘wanboy’ due to the ill treatment meted out by Mr Okoro’s family at Akpom Lane, he travelled to Ilesha, Osun State at age 12. Mrs Stella Amuche took him in and gave him basic needs, he finished his primary school education in Osun State and his elder sister took him to Lagos, while in Lagos young Okpokopo developed a comic flair and decided to exploit the Nigeria movie industry.
He enrolled at Mannex Movie Academy and graduated with a certificate, in that year he was awarded ‘The Best Entertainer Award’. And ever since, has not relented in his quest to plant laughter on people’s face.
Sunday Emeremunjo recalled an embarrassing moment he got on the set of ‘Moving Train’.
In his narratives he said: “I got drunk before going on the set of ‘Moving Train,’ while on set, I went offline and couldn’t perform my stipulated role, the camera man got angry and threw stones at me, I was highly embarrassed because of what I did, attracted disdainment from other actors/actresses both upcoming and known ones, at that point I took a personal decision not to drink alcohol again, I beckoned on the producer and told them to give me an hour so I could come back refreshed but, my producer who was already angry at that point gave me 2 hours, I slept off, so when I woke up I drank a cup of water and got on set again and did it the way I was supposed to have done it.

My producer was pleased with me, ever since that embarrassment, I’ve stopped drinking, except I accept a role which warrants I must take alcohol, I don’t take it anymore.” He said.
He also complained about clients nonchalancy to pay him his accurate artist fee, though he understand the economy but he urges prospective clients to consider actors/actress in their scale of preference while on set.
He is open to both Yoruba, Igbo/English speaking Nollywoods, respectively.
