Engineer turned actress, Sam Abasiewang Princess an extraction of Akwa Ibom, Nsit Atai Local Government Area to be precise, maternally from Okobo LGA,
She attended Federal Government Girls’ College, Ikot Obio Itong, Mkpat Enin, Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom State, though had problems with Chemistry teacher, Mrs Usiere but in furtherance, she got admitted and graduated from the prestigious University of Port Harcourt, Faculty of Engineering as a Chemical Engineer.
Princess is currently waiting to observe her mandatory service ‘under the rain under the sun’ to her father’s land, due to a missing but found script issue. She was in a hot seat position with Creekvibes OLUWADAMILARE DANIELS.
Chemical Engineering background what brought you into acting?
I had fallen in love with acting since I was a child, actually, I never thought I will be acting now but, I came across the advert and decided to give it a shot, that was how I got registered and the acting skills manifested.
What can you say about the movie industry?
From my perspective, it is an exciting place to be, while I was on the other side as a viewer, I pin-pointed scenes errors, many times I would say; ‘she would’ve done it this way but ‘reality is better than your illusion,’ now as an actress, I discovered it’s not that easy.
If you could reverse the time, would you have chosen Theatre Art or Mass com?
No, I will still choose Engineering, but with acting in view.
Are you in a relationship at the moment and when will you want to settle down?
Relationship and settling down, well (sigh) time to settle down is in God’s hand because I am not in any meaningful relationship.
What are your expectations of an ideal man?
My qualities are not much, a God-fearing man of an average height; dark and must be caring.
When were you deflowered?
Nine years ago; when I was 20 years old.
You are from a family of?
Family of nine, we were seven children, comprising of three males, four females but we lost two.
Are you looking forward to becoming a producer?
Of course, I will want to be one in the future.
While in secondary school, were you controversial, did you hold any position?
I was a calm girl and I wasn’t a prefect.
What of University level?
Yeah, in Uniport I clamoured for the position of vice president (departmental) but I did not win, I also ran for other offices but, I was not elected.
In the future will you want to go into Akwa Ibom Politics?
I don’t think my dad will want that.
Talk about yourself, not your dad.
If I am chanced and if my husband supports the motive, I will go into it.
