Femi Kuti celebrates Fela’s posthumous birthday…24 years gone, we miss you

Nigerian Afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti is celebrating his father, late Afrobeats legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti on his posthumous birthday.

Olikoye Ransome-Kuti had claimed that his brother Fela died of AIDS-related complications on August 2, 1997, in Lagos. However, Fela’s widow maintained that he did not die of the deadly disease.

The Instrumentalist took to his official Instagram page to mark the special day with some heartfelt words.

Femi shared a throwback photo of Fela Kuti and disclosed that 24 years after his passing, they still miss him.
