Aare Adetola Olaniyi Olaonipekun Emmanuelking, born in Nigeria 44 years ago, graduated from Yaba College of Technology, with a Higher National Diploma in Estate Management, also have a master’s degree in housing development and management from Nigeria Premier University, University of Ibadan, crowned with Honorary Doctorate Degree of Science in Real Estate Development and Management Leadership from the European American University, he is a fellow of the Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria-Ghana and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN). Having worked in different capacities in the real estate and power sectors between 1996 and 2011, he created Adron Homes in 2012, the company which has been making housing affordable with flexible payment for many Nigerians home and abroad.
Aare Adetola EmmanuelKing, the Group Managing Director of ADRON Homes is the winner of 2019 Lagos Man of the Year award.
He won the ‘Lagos Man of the Year award’, (LASMAYA), by defeating prominent Lagosians in the likes of Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri –Okunola who polled 12, 892 and the Group Managing Director Deltatek Group Engineer Akinwunmi Odumakinde who polled 7, 821 to clinch the third position.
He polled 29, 829 votes of the 61,894 valid votes cast, representing over 70 per cent, a feat said to be unprecedented in the history of the award.
Briefing Journalists recently in Lagos State, the Director of Centre for Policy Development and Political Studies, Dr. Aderemi Ifaolepin, organiser of the award said the main objective of the award is to reward and promote excellence in Lagos.
He said, “Emmanuelking was investigated thoroughly, saying he was nominated for the award because of the humanitarian services he had rendered overtime to the state.”
Responding, the Group Managing Director of ADRON Homes, Aare Adetola EmmanuelKing said the award has helped him to determine his value and worth in the public domain, adding that he is further motivated to continue to render good services to the society.
Emmanuelking said he was surprise to have been nominated alongside credible nominees for the award.
He thanked all the people that voted for him and give kudos to the organisers of this laudable award, saying he would continue to do his best to render quality service to Lagosians.
The 2018 award was won by the former Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Hakeem Abdul-Lateef as he polled 41,415 votes of the 53,893 valid votes. In 2017 it was won by Dr. Adebola Ismail Akindele with 3,324 votes.
