Eco Bank in conjunction with Legend of Nollywood a programme created by Paul Obazele that recognises and honours veterans and legend in the Nigerian movie industry has taken a step further in harnessing the potentials and talents of the physically challenge and the less privilege in our society by embarking on an intensive training and capacity building programs that will enable them to master the various vocational skills needed for them to stand on their own in the various segments of film production.
Obazele who had lined up professionals in the movie industry to lecture in 5 classes where various skills in film production will be taught said, the empowerment program is made possible by Eco Bank. Speaking on Eco Bank involvement Obazele said, “The managing director of the bank Mr. Patrick Akinwuntan, is passionate by empowering people who will not only be financially independent but can soar high in their chosen field and later grow to be employers of labour.” Obazele stated further, “Akinmuntan believes that sustainable growth and development programs are some of the keys to economic growth, such as Nollywood has offered over the years.” Some Facilitators in the training which is made up of renown Nollywood, actors, directors and producers, includes, Segun Arinze, Zack Orji, Keppy Ekpenyong, Emma Ayalongu, Ngozi Orji, Tessy White including renown judge and member of the jury in some of the renown local and international film festivals, Shaibu Husseini. Zen Dream Works, Limited, Unit Celloids Limited and Moma $ Chide Global Resources Limited are some of the companies that are also partnering with Legend of Nolkywood. The various training being offered, includes, acting, script writing, editing, photography, make up amongst others.
