CHINEDU IKEDIEZE: What Marriage Taught Me

Nigerian actor and entrepreneur, Chinedu Ikedieze, who is also respected for his prowess in investment was given birth to over 4 decades ago in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, South-eastern part of Nigeria, he is seen as a precious heavenly gift bestowed upon the family of Mr and Mrs Michael Ikedieze Ogbonna.


He completed his primary and secondary education in his state of birth and went further to Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu where he graduated with a National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND), in 2004 he enrolled in the prestigious New York Film Academy .


He joined Nollywood in 2000 and rose to fame in 2003 after starring in a Nollywood blockbuster comic movie “Aki na Ukwa” a comedy movie where he starred alongside with Osita Iheme, where he played the role of Aki, a role that got him stocked with ‘Aki’ as his stage name.


His tireless performance in Nollywood earned him a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for Most Accomplished Actor in Nigeria, in 2007. He has also received an award for Best Comic Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. He has often been described as one of the best actors of his generation and also one of Nigeria’s most famous comic actors known world over.
On Friday 9th December, 2011, Chinedu Ikedieze got married to Miss Nneoma Nwaijah, and in 2012 the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl.

He has a charity organization and a foundation, which is aimed at helping and assisting physically challenge and displaced people, this make him one of the richest and most influential actors in Nigeria.
He has featured in over 150 films in a career spanning over 2 decades.


He took time out of his tight schedule and fielded few questions from Creekvibes Oluwadamilare Daniels.

Since you got married 9 years ago, what advice can you give young eligible bachelors?
It is a great institution that requires endless understanding and care.

What has marriage taught you?
It has taught me a lot. It made me wiser and more responsible.


What are the three things you can’t do without?

My phone with good network, My glasses and water.


Who is your favourite music artist?

I love good music and I’ve got no favorite music artist.


Which sport is your tent pitched with?
I love football and I support the following clubs:
