Ajegunle Holds Award Night For: Ighalo, Amunike, Akpoborie, Udeze, others

Prince Ogaga wowo who is also the proprietor of Kabis Global Football Club is planning and strategizing to implement a bi-annual sporting event/ceremony which will kick-start her maiden edition on the 4th of December 2021 with awards to top active and Nigerian internationals who originated from Ajegunle Ifelodun L.G.A of Lagos State.
Another phase slated for the awards in this maiden edition are top retired footballers of international repute like Odion Ighalo, Ifeanyi Udeje, Emmanuel Amunike, Samson Siasia, Tarilla Okoro Wanta,  Godwin Iwelumo, Peter Nieketien, and Jonathan Akpoborie. The history of sports and especially of football in Nigeria and the world, in general, can never be concluded without mentioning Ajegunle, a ghetto town in Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA of Lagos State, and here a large majority of Nigerian legends in the game of football emerged.

To further celebrate the exceptional contributions and accomplishments of those who have brought growth and recognition to the town through sports, essentially football, “Kobis Global Multidimensional Projects Limited is set to stage the awards to honor their heroes past and present.
The Awards’ organiser and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kobis Global, Prince Ogawa Wowo said the ward is a necessity and long overdue. According to Prince Wowo, the Ajegunle Football and Sports Golden Awards is conceived out of long overdue to properly recognize and immortalize the heroes of our indigenous sports personalities.

Personalities who have established and distinguished themselves and soundly contributed towards sports’ development cum growth of the “AJ Brand” both locally and internationally.
Furthermore, he re-iterated that this award is also in celebration of our very rich football and sports’ heritage in reviving the traditional AJ Creed of excellence, education, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, community service, Peaceful-co-existence in a cosmopolitan community, and unity through sports-with the aim of stimulation and attractive to vital investments from within and outside into Ajegunle sporting economy.
Accordingly, he enthroned that this award is going to be a bi-annual event to give it world-class leverage that is worthy of praise and emulation.

Invariably, the ceremony is slated to hold at the prestigious Abayomi Hall at the Orege area of Ajegunle with a total of 22 awards in the offing.
