Amiebonam NNPP scribe wants electorate to choose wisely to secure future

Nagaf 2

By Alphonsus Effi

The World Conference chaired and addressed by the amiable founder and owner of NAGAFF alongside other dignitaries of the NNPP (New Nigerian People’s Party) on Friday 3rd June 2022 was declared open all the necessary pumps and pageantry accorded such conference worldwide and an empathic statement that the party is one among other political parties in the Federal Republic of Nigeria newly registered by INEC haven met the statutory requirements for the registration of political parties in the country.

Invariably, Dr. B.O Amiebonam reiterated that we are far back as 2002, NNP commenced its operations to mobilize Nigerians in her bid to re-invent a new Nigeria of our dream, that it is not news to all that the country today has disappointed all and sundry about good governance. This inaction to poor economic state, insecurity and lots more. Hence, the need for the press conference to encourage journalists and all stakeholders and enlighten the general public  on national matters that impact on their lives daily; encourage them to take wise political decisions in choosing their leaders such Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso who is the un-opposed Presidential Political candidate for the NNPP.

It suffice to say, that politics is about interests articulation and aggregation and commonality of vision towards power and with that allocation of values to addressing the plights of the people but primarily, the maintenance of law and order. The crises in the Nigerian state are the direct consequences of failures of federalism and democracy. Moneybags and hypocrites have hijacked the space for decades and the time is rife for a shift of regime from Kleptocracy to the Lincolnian democracy of the people rather than the Elitist democracy we have in Nigeria which favors the privileged few at the expense of the mass of the people. The New Nigerian Peoples Party offers a hope for this shift of dispensation. Nigeria will be great again but with selfless, visionary and people-oriented leadership in which the people are placed at the front burner of public policy priorities.

Nigeria’s greatest resource is its people. We need a transition from oil-dependent economy to service oriented in which Knowledge is the single denominator (Knowledge economy). No nation grows faster than its growth in education. It is sad that our Universities have been shot down over poor funding while a single civil servant is accused of haven misappropriated N80 billion naira. Since 1999, there has been a gap between campaign promises and actual policies’ outcomes. The people are presented as the subject of government programs but the actual beneficiaries remained the elites. This is at the root of the socio-economic and political inequality in the country. NNPP’s leadership pledges to address this gaps.

With the unfolding internal democracy crises in the ruling party as there sems to be an unease with the choice for Presidential Standard bearer as the Party named Senate President Lawan its consensus candidate. The NNPP’s Presidential candidate represents, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwanso Presidential ambition should be embraced by all Nigerians who yearned for transformational leadership, a unifying figure in this time of ethno-regional and religious cleavages.

The Late Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim preached politics without bitterness in his lifetime. Kwankwanso is a cohering force with aptitude to unite the people, a detribalized politician of large clout in the commercial state of Kano and beyond, this ace has spurned the Kwankwasia Movement though he was schemed against for vested interests, yet never yielded his ambition to give Nigeria and Nigerians a new lease of life, this he sort in the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) come 2023.
