Setar: I won’t Take Kind Instead Of Cash
Adegbenro Olusegun Abayomi, who goes by Setar as his stage name, Segun decided to adopt Setar as his stage name because he discovered that name a the name of Persian musical instrument, professionally his career kick started 6 years ago, earlier before then he was a choir master at God’s family church in Fagba area of Lagos.
He has two albums to his credit; ‘A good sign’ and ‘Emanate’ with lots of tracks, his pitch his musical tent with secular songs.
He is from Ilopu in Irepodun Local Government Area of Osun State, he is from a royal family.
According to Setar growing up was fine, he attended Babjo Comprehensive College in Osun and move to Crown Polytechnic Ado EKiti where he studied Mass Communication, he had working experience while he was with Ideal Foremost pharmaceutical company.
The 5.6 ft dude shared one life threatening experience, according to him, “While I was in Calabar I made good sales for the company I was working with I couldn’t lodge the cash into any bank before the close of work and I couldn’t book an hotel earlier too, so I was stocked with the cash that night, I went to a police station perhaps I could be permitted to pass the night there but the OC refused, then the only choice left for me was the street, so I went into one of the parked commercial buses, (laughs) while I had slept off, I felt strange touches, someone dragging my mobile phone from my hands, so I woke up it was around 1 am and I’ve been robbed so I struggled with them and I got stabbed by one of them with a pen knife. I thank God for His mercies.”
The father of one is frankly one of those who will not be deterred with ladies wanting to date him due to his raving circular songs.
Setar’s message to Nigerians is straight he said, “Nigerian should watch out for me, I am a rising star from nobody going to become somebody soonest”.
