Igbo Group, Think Tank urges Tinubu to release Agbasimalo

The Young Rising Igbos and the All Igbo Think Tank have urged President Bola Tinubu, Inspector General of Police Egbetokun, and the Attorney General of the Federation to reexamine the case of the missing former Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Obiora Agbasimalo, who was abducted during the 2021 Anambra Gubernatorial election campaign.

These organizations are seeking a definitive response from the President, IGP, and Attorney General, emphasizing that Nigerians and the Agbasimalo family have been waiting too long for the police and attorney general to resolve the mystery surrounding Agbasimalo’s abduction.

In a joint press release signed by Mr. Emeka Uchedu of the Young Rising Igbos and Obasi Rowland of the All Igbo Think Tank at home and abroad, they highlighted that all suspects arrested by the former IGP, Akali, were released without a proper resolution to the trial. Therefore, they are appealing to the President to review the case for the sake of Agbasimalo’s mother, who is still struggling to cope with the ordeal of her missing son, as well as his wife and children. They concluded by stating that Nigerians, both at home and abroad, are eager for Agbasimalo’s safe return.

The Young Rising lgbos and all Igbo think tank has call on President Bola Tinubu, Inspector General of Police, Egbetokun, and the Attorney General of the Federation to revisit the case of the missing former labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Agbasimalo who was  kidnapped in the wake of political campaign during the 2021 Anambra Gubernatorial election.

These groups wants the President, IGP And Attorney to give  Nigerians a conclusive response, saying Nigerians and the Agbasimalo family have waited too long for the police and attorney general to unravel the misery sorrounding Agbasimalo’s kidnap.

In a joint press release signed by Mr Emeka  Uchedu of the Young Rising Igbos and Obasi Rowland of the All Igbos Thick Tank home and in diaspora, they stated that all the suspect arrested by the estwhile IGP, Akali were release without a formal logical conclusion to the trial.

Hence they are pleading  to the President to revisit the case for the sake of his mother, who is yet to recover from the saga of his missing son, and his wife including children.

They concluded by saying Nigerians home and abroad want Agbasimalo back.
