Bode George Attends Imole Eko Ceremony As Over 1,000 Youths Get Empowered

By Daniel Ekiye

‎‎It was the fulfilment of a long-held aspiration for over 1,000 indigent beneficiaries who gathered at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Ikeja, Lagos, for the highly anticipated 7th Imole Eko Free Vocational Training Graduation Ceremony.

‎The graduates, who participated in various vocational programmes free of charge for a period of four months, received their empowerment funds and start-up kits on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

‎The empowerment items distributed included sewing machines, hair dryers, milling machines, complete gas cooker sets, popcorn machines, and Point of Sale (POS) terminals. In addition, the Tie and Dye Department was presented with a cheque of Two Million Naira (₦2,000,000), while the Cosmetology Department also received a ₦2,000,000 cheque as start-up capital.

‎Overwhelmed with joy, the graduates were seen offering prayers and expressing heartfelt gratitude, while wishing continued blessings upon Prince Yommy Eshinlokun Ogungbe and his entire family.

‎Speaking in a recent interview with Creekvibes Magazine, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Imole Eko Foundation, Ambassador Prince Yommy Eshinlokun Ogungbe, stated:

‎“If you aspire to build an empire, begin by developing people. With the little savings I have, I make it a priority to invest in people, serve humanity, and promote better living conditions. I truly do not concern myself with what others may say.”

‎He further expressed concern over the growing involvement of youths in social vices, noting that many have been drawn into internet fraud, ritual-related crimes, drug abuse, while some young women have resorted to prostitution due to idleness and unemployment.

‎Creekvibes also interacted with Oloruntoba Oluwatomisin and Gbenu Damilola Jesuyon, beneficiaries currently enjoying scholarships under the Imole Eko Foundation.

The event was hosted by PDP Chieftain, Chief Olabode Ibiyinka George, and Ambassador Prince Yommy Eshinlokun Ogungbe.

‎‎

‎Other dignitaries in attendance included High Chief Tajudeen Amoo Orilowo Abdulganiyu, the Baale of Oke-Ogbe; Rev. Dr. Abiodun Okoji; Wongafix MD, Olabanke Nwaoze, among several other leaders and captains of industries.

‎‎Popular Lagos master of ceremonies, ATM, anchored the event with remarkable professionalism, ensuring smooth coordination and lively audience engagement throughout the programme.

‎In line with tradition, hospitality was generously provided, as guests were treated to assorted meals and takeaway packages—an aspect Prince Yommy is well known for at his events.

‎Musical entertainment was delivered by Olajesu, who also performed at the previous edition held at the Police College, Ikeja. Videos of Chief Olabode George enjoying the performance later circulated widely on social media as the event concluded with expressions of appreciation from the organisers.
