Hightower Global Church Distributes Rice for Third Time in Three Months

Members of Hightower Global Church on Sunday, March 1, 2026, once again received 5kg bags of rice as part of the humanitarian outreach of the church’s leader, Global Prophet Olawale Ikotun.
The distribution marks the third time in 2026 that the cleric has shared food items with members of the church.
The first exercise took place during the crossover service on January 1, when worshippers received food support to begin the new year.
At the end of the March 1 service, many congregants were seen leaving the church premises with bags of rice, continuing what has become a consistent welfare initiative of the ministry.
Speaking during the service, Prophet Ikotun explained that he deliberately avoids announcing rice distributions during his radio broadcasts.
According to him, the decision is aimed at ensuring that people attending the church primarily seek spiritual growth rather than material assistance.
He noted that by keeping the outreach quiet, genuine members who come to worship would be the ones who consistently benefit from the support.
“Those of you who are coming not because of the rice will be the ones who consistently benefit from the 5kg rice,” the prophet told the congregation.
He further added, “If you do not need the rice, please take your bag and leave. If you need it, remain seated, and the rice will be given to you.”
The initiative forms part of the church’s broader humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting members and easing the burden of rising food costs.
