Ogun community Gaun announces Okiki new Youth Leader

The Gaun Community in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State came alive with celebration as residents, traditional leaders, and well-wishers gathered to witness the coronation of Mr. Okiki Oladunjoye as the new Olori Odo, a revered traditional title that plays a significant role in the cultural heritage of the community. The colourful ceremony featured traditional rites, cultural displays, and prayers for peace, unity, and progress.
Okiki Oladunjoye succeeds Mr. Semiu Balogun, who previously served as the Olori Odo with dedication and commitment. During the coronation, community elders commended Balogun for his contributions to the growth and preservation of Gaun’s traditions while expressing confidence that the new titleholder would build on the foundation laid by his predecessor.
In his acceptance remarks, Olori Odo Okiki Oladunjoye expressed gratitude to the traditional institution, community leaders, and residents for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to uphold the customs and values of the Gaun Community, promote unity among the people, and work closely with other stakeholders to advance development within the community.
Several dignitaries, including traditional rulers, youth leaders, family members, and friends, attended the event to celebrate the historic occasion. Speakers at the ceremony encouraged the new Olori Odo to remain a symbol of integrity, service, and cultural preservation while supporting initiatives that would foster harmony and socio-economic growth in Gaun.
