LABASCO Celebrates Uzamat Akinbile, Yusuf Akeem

The Lagos Baptist Secondary School alumni group recently celebrated the state’s Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf, with a prestigious award of excellence.
Hon. Uzamat’s award was given in recognition of the significant contributions she made to the promotion and development of tourism and culture in Lagos State. As the best Culture and Tourism Administrator of The Year 2022, Commissioner Akinbile Yusuf has worked tirelessly to improve the infrastructure and facilities available for tourists, as well as to promote the rich cultural heritage of Lagos State.
The group also honoured one of their favourite teachers, the late Mr Yusuf Akeem, with a posthumous award as one of the best teachers in LABASCO history. Mr Akeem, meanwhile, was a much-loved teacher who inspired his students to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.
