Lady reacts to Rita Dominic’s name change
A feminist identified as Dina Twumasi, has cited Rita Dominic’s recently changed name, she queried why a woman has to always be the one to give up her surname to take on her husband’s.
The lady identified with this Twitter account @thedinatwumasi, took to her page to react to the marriage and name change of the veteran Nollywood actress.
Recall that Rita Dominic had added her husband’s surname ‘Anosike’ to her other names following her marriage to Fidelis.
According to Dina Twumasi, a global brand, Rita Dominic, after her marriage would have to be called Mrs Fidelis Anosike.
She asked bitterly why a woman has to always be the one to let go of her surname after she gets married.
In a now deleted tweet, she wrote;
“Just hours after her white wedding, a household name, a global brand Rita Dominic is now called Mrs. Fidelis Anosike!
Why, why must women always have to be the ones letting go after marriage?”
