Ajilekege (Esuko 1) receives Creekvibes award, calls for unity of traditional worshippers

Creekvibes magazine is set to honour the Obatapa of Egba Land in Ogun State, Chief (Dr) Tajudeen Ajilekege, by conferring on him the Creekvibes Best Royal Father of the Year Award, 2023.
The honour is on the merit of his immense contribution to establish unity among diverse traditional worshippers, which aims at promoting traditional faith within Nigeria and in the Diaspora.
This event will take place on December 15, 2023 at No. 3, Ikuforiji Street, Off First Point Hotel, Imala Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Chief Ajilekege, also addressed as the Esuko 1, was also commended and said to have made the right move to register the Igunnuko Traditional Religious Believers Association of Nigeria with the approval of the Federal Government of Nigeria, done in March 7, 2019. (RC/IT: 125683).
This was made known via a statement through his aide, the Amona Oba Tapa, Mr Adekunle. Chief Ajilekege also appreciated the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for acknowledging ITRBAN and for also declaring August 20, 2023 a public holiday in commemoration of the Isese day.
Chief Ajilekege also used the medium to wish Christians, Muslims and other faiths a prosperous New Year and to notify ITRBAN Igunnuko members registered under the Ogun State Alternative Medicine Board to come for the collection of their certificates from the Ogun State government.
All units of Igunnuko faith in Ogun State are expected to send six representatives each to the venue of the event; Egba Alake-unit 1, Egba Oke Ona-unit 2, Yewa/Awori-unit 3, Remo/Ijebu-unit 4, Obafemi Owode Igbein Land-unit 5.
Government representatives and other dignitaries are also expected at the event.
This is to ensure that Igunnuko operatives don’t act against the guidelines of Ogun State government in order to avoid prosecution.
