Kenneth Okonkwo, a veteran actor in Nollywood, has criticized the APC-led government, he expresses his disappointment with the ruling political party on his Instagram account, the below statement was obtained from his social media handle, it reads in parts;
GOVERNMENT OF LIES
During the campaign, we told people that everything APC says about itself is a lie. We have been vindicated by all the lies this government has been dishing out.
Telling us about fake investors and fake investment. Telling us about removing fuel subsidy in order to get revenue to provide other amenities for us, yet taxing us with multiple levies that yield nothing to the people.
Can you imagine punishing the people to pay 0.5% of their money in the bank for every electronic money transfer to be paid to the NSA to protect us from cyber crimes. Excuse me! We invested our money in a bank, and the bank is trading with our money to make a profit, and now we have to pay for our money in the bank to be protected. What then is the duty of the bank?
Who told this government that it has the right to pay any revenue to any account apart from the federation account? This government is incompetent, insensitive, and lawless. It has lost every modicum of respect from the people.
