AfroKitty Honours Iconic Fela Kuti, Prolongs Stay in Nigeria

AfroKitty, popularly known as Silly Music, is a Korean woman celebrated for her passion for Nigerian music, and has decided to extend her visit to Nigeria, a country in West Africa. The TikTok sensation, who gained popularity for her enthusiasm for Nigerian tunes, has recently been featured in a viral video on social media.
Research indicates that AfroKitty previously worked as a waitress in a South Korean restaurant, where she was dismissed for dancing during her shifts. Her fervent admiration for Afro beats was undeniable, compelling her to express herself through dance.
Following her job loss, she began creating dance videos and performing covers of well-known Nigerian songs, which have since garnered her significant financial success.
It is remarkable to consider that Fela Kuti’s influence resonates even in Korea. AfroKitty pays tribute to the legendary musician by stating, “Because of you, I’m receiving so much love; you are a legend.”
