In celebration of the 7th Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty, Oba (Prof.) Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege, Ph.D., MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), Olota of the Paramount and Ancient Ottaland, the inaugural All-Secondary Schools Marathon Race was successfully conducted. This event sought to leverage the unifying essence of sports while reigniting students’ enthusiasm for track and field activities. In addition to its physical advantages, the marathon provided a valuable opportunity to enhance mental resilience and encourage healthy competition among secondary school participants.

Emerging as the overall champion of this fiercely contested race was Adebusoye Samson from Anglican Grammar School, Otta, who exhibited exceptional endurance and determination. The title of first female finisher was awarded to Ani Kanyisola from Dakeff Schools, Lagos, who displayed remarkable grit and perseverance throughout the event. The Palace expresses its sincere gratitude to all participants, organizers, sponsors, and stakeholders whose commitment and efforts were instrumental in the success of this significant occasion.
