Prophet Ikotun, Wife Honoured With Kings Journal International Award
Renowned cleric and founder of Hightower Global Church, Prophet Olawale Ikotun, alongside his wife, Barrister (Mrs) Pastor Rhoda Olawale Ikotun, have been honoured with a prestigious award in recognition of their service to humanity and commitment to Christian values.
The award was presented on March 8, 2026, by the publisher of Kings Journal International, Mr Oyelami Olarenwaju, in collaboration with a notable Nigerian media organisation during Goodness Service at the main auditorium of Hightower Global Church.
Presenting the award, the publisher of Kings Journal International said the recognition followed years of observing the ministry and impact of the Global Prophet.
“One undeniable truth is that no one bestows an award on himself; when that happens, something is fundamentally wrong. Today, we are honouring a prophet, not just any prophet, but a formidable battle axe. We are celebrating the remarkable grace that God has bestowed upon our father, a bearer of Apostolic authority, a vessel of signs and wonders. Today, we are acknowledging a rare gem, a prophetic giant, a man whose voice echoes in heaven, and whom God upholds.” Mr Olanrewaju said.
The organisation also disclosed that about 15 years ago, it initiated a programme in Lagos aimed at identifying genuine prophetic voices, but struggled to find credible figures until they began following the journey of Prophet Ikotun.
According to them, his story—from his early days as a football, specifically a goalkeeper then known as “Omo Ilesha” till date; to becoming a respected cleric—demonstrates what they described as a divine calling and transformation.
During the event, the convener of Notable Women presented a muffler to Barrister Mrs Rhoda Ikotun, acknowledging her role in supporting her husband’s ministry and her contributions to society.
“Behind every successful man is a woman. We are here to honour you as a virtuous woman whose support has strengthened the ministry,” she said, referencing Proverbs 31:10.
The award plaque presented to Prophet Ikotun featured a crown at its apex, symbolising kingship, as organisers described him as a “King of Prophets.” The presentation was greeted with applause from members of the congregation.
Responding, Prophet Ikotun expressed appreciation to the organisers and dedicated the recognition to members of Hightower Global Church.
“Thank you very much for this honour. I dedicate this award to all members of Hightower Global Church. I am grateful for the recognition, and I pray God continues to elevate you all,” he said.
