Mrs Ojukwu: My Husband Has No Political Ambition

By Daniel Ekiye

Mrs Calista Anurica Ojukwu, wife of the Managing Director/CEO of Marble Brand Hotel, Ojukwu Chijioke Christopher, has revealed plans for the expansion of the hospitality brand, expressing optimism about the emergence of additional outlets nationwide.
Mrs Ojukwu, who hails from Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, shared her vision during the unveiling of a new branch of Marble Brand Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
She noted that the future of the brand could see the introduction of multiple extensions under a structured expansion model.
Speaking in an interview with Creekvibes, she expressed gratitude and excitement over the milestone, describing the event as a significant achievement.
She emphasized that the current development is only the beginning, adding that the brand could evolve into multiple outlets such as “Marble Plus 2, 3, and beyond” across Nigeria.
On the question of her husband’s possible involvement in politics, Mrs. Ojukwu firmly dismissed the idea.
She stated that she would not support such a move, citing concerns about the nature of the political space and her desire to safeguard her husband’s well-being.
“I wouldn’t even permit him to go into politics; he has no political ambition,” she said, noting that her priority is to protect him from potential risks associated with political engagement.
Addressing speculation about a possible family relocation abroad, she indicated that such plans are not currently under consideration.
While acknowledging that her husband frequently travels internationally to destinations including China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, she maintained that relocation has not been discussed.
Mrs Ojukwu also described her husband as a disciplined and principled individual who maintains positive associations.
According to her, he consciously avoids negative influences and distances himself from individuals whose lifestyles do not align with his values.
She concluded by affirming her admiration for his character, noting that his ability to maintain integrity contributes significantly to both his personal and professional success.
