Fubara: I’ll Collaborate With Peter Obi, Dedicated Nigerians

Fubara Port Harcourt Governor

My decision to withdraw from the gubernatorial race was not a result of fear or defeat, but rather a manifestation of wisdom and choice. No warrior enters a battle on territory that is entirely dominated by another. Leadership necessitates strategy, patience, and timing.

However, in life, when Plan A fails, we transition to Plans B and C with even greater resolve. My dedication remains steadfast: to guarantee that the citizens of Rivers State experience genuine governance, liberated from the oppressive chains of godfatherism and political intimidation.

The residents of Rivers State have observed my sacrifices, my perseverance in the face of hostility, and my earnest efforts to uphold peace, balance, and inclusive leadership within our diverse state. They understand that the struggle has consistently been about liberating our people from the politics of oppression and the ‘man-know-man’ mentality.

As I progress, I will align myself with a platform that champions equity, justice, and national transformation — a platform that has designated its presidential ticket to the South. There, I will collaborate with my brother, Peter Obi, and millions of dedicated Nigerians in the shared mission to rescue and rebuild our nation through one of the most organized political movements in the country.

I am convinced that the people of Rivers State are longing for freedom, dignity, and accountable leadership. The frustrations stemming from godfather control will now be redirected into renewed purpose and a stronger call to duty for the future that lies ahead.

God bless the good people of Rivers State.
