In this interview she opened up on her journey to stardom and lots more, enjoy excerpts;

How was growing up in Aguata?

I am not from a rich family, I grew in a family of four with a stepbrother, growing up was not roses but we give God the glory.

Do you also produce?

Almost every piece of equipment is ready for my production; all I need now is for my actors to be ready.

Is Ebere Okeke married?

No, not yet, but Ebere Okeke is not single and searching.

When should your fans be expecting your wedding invite?

Waiting for God’s time, when He approves the right person.

To have featured in approximately over 70 movies how many awards do you have to your credit?

The issue is that I am not a social enthusiast, sometimes when I ran into my senior colleagues they wonder if I am still in the industry, my routine is to act, and go back to my business, no red carpets no shows, but I think that aspect of me is about to turn a new leave.

Have you got any scandal?

No.

You can’t because you do your acting and go back to your business.

As an actress who is your favourite music artist?

Laughter…Davido, I love Wizkid, Burnerboy including Flavour they are all my favourites musicians, Phyno is not left out of my collections.

How much will you consider for acting nude in a movie?

That won’t be necessary; I will not consider acting nude for any amount.

Before you started your movie carrier, what were you doing?

It will shock you, surprisingly I was into sales of bags, I traveled a lot for my supplies and sometimes assist my mum as a food vendor.

What drew you into Nollywood?

When I was growing up, it was the days of Liz Benson, Zack Orji, Sandra Achums, those actors made me fall in love with the movie industry, each time I spot Liz Benson, I will say to myself, ‘I want to be like her.’

Not until my fate cross path with Nina, she is a costumier, on that faithful day, she talked me into going to a movie location with her to deliver some costumes, and I wasn’t preoccupied, so I went with her, while with them the director cajoled me to do one or two scenes with Osita Iheme and I later did another one with Kanyo O. Kanayo (KOK).

It was a fantastic movie production; I acted as Iheme’s girlfriend.

Mention five actors/actresses you’ll want a fantastic pair with?

Ramsey Noah, Genevive Nnaji, Liz Benson, and Zack Orji.

Can you tell us in a nutshell what your new movie is all about?

I want it to be a surprise package, it will be delivered soon; we can’t afford to let the cat out of the bag now, because a lot has gone into it.

Since your sojourn in the movie industry have you experienced lesser treatment due to not being famous?

That one is a normal occurrence, many times I pity up comers, I wouldn’t want to mention names, I was on a set of movie production with top colleagues two female actresses made me shed tears, I was almost discouraged, they sized me up; made jest of me but, I held my ground.

It was a terrible experience, people that you have loved, and finally, your dream of meeting them materialises, and all you get in return is disaffection, it does not depict a role model’s act.

I remember when I shot a movie with Prince Iyke it was a blockbuster, but before then I had done two major productions.

Ebe Perfume
Ebere Okeke’s love for good perfumes lures her into perfumery behold ‘Ebel Desire Woody’ from the stable of Ebere Okeke’s perfume world. It lasts longer on clothes even after wash fragrance lingers.

An upcoming pretty actress came to join us and one of the top actresses saw how beautiful she is and started giving her intimidating and frustrating attitude, the girl became shaky and wanted to leave; she couldn’t take the embarrassment anymore so, I went to her, held her hands and told her about my personal experience with top actresses, so I said ‘Don’t even look at her anymore just act your lines, when the camera is up your head can’t afford to be down, raise it,’ she heeded.

That was how I persuaded her to do her stuff; she did some and later ran away she couldn’t finish her job.

Can you discuss how you interact with male fans who want relationships rather than being a fan?

Sometimes you don’t know who truly loves you, when they come they’ll want to play the good guys, so I am always careful when it comes to male fans, it could be set up to screw you.

Whenever I am talking to them, usually my messages are passed across to them calmly, that we can’t be friends.

At what age did you start acting?

I started at the age of 25.

Any messages for your fans, out there?

A lot of people are going through things they can’t talk about so, I will want them to be prayerful, in due course God will meet them at their point of need.

How old is Ebere Okeke?

Laugher…I wouldn’t want to disclose my age, people that I had watched on screen before joining them in the industry are still celebrating their 30th birthday, going by that I am still in my early 20s general laughs.

What can you say you have achieved since you began acting?

My fashion line; perfumery, God has done so many great things, so many are not in physical forms, but I have achieved quite a lot.

Will you want to be in BBNaija or any other Tv reality show?

A little giggle…eeemm do I have the strength? I am extremely on the quiet side; if such an opportunity arises, I may consider it.

After a hectic day’s job, how do you unwind, and calm your nerves?

Laughs, I take a bottle of wine, listen to good music, and afterward a nice bath.

Your favourite meal?

I enjoy morsels.

What kind of soup?

I use to like Okro but not anymore.

I do more vegetables now like; Efo, Edikaikong or bitter leave.
