(Video) Rihanna reveals son’s name ahead traveling, birthday

Iconic Barbadian singer, Robyn Rihanna Fenty finally discloses her son’s name, RZA Athelston Mayers ahead of his first birthday on May 13th.

According to reports, the multiple award-winning singer and her partner A$AP Rocky named their first child RZA Athelston Mayers, as per the official certificate of live birth.

It appears that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky drew inspiration for their son’s name from the music producer and Wu-Tang Clan leader, RZA. Meanwhile, the middle name of the almost-1-year-old is inspired by A$AP Rocky’s middle name, Rakim Athelaston Mayers.

Since giving birth, Rihanna has been spotted wearing Wu-Tang Clan t-shirts and RZA merchandise. The songwriter is also expecting a second child with A$AP Rocky, which she revealed during her high-flying Super Bowl halftime show in February.

Creekvibes recalls that, Rihanna gave birth to her son on May 13, 2022, according to TMZ. The couple welcomed a baby boy and a source said that the Fenty Beauty founder would love to bring her little one to her home country. “Rihanna would love to bring him to Barbados soon to meet her relatives. Right now, they are just spending precious time together with their little bundle of love,” the source says. “They have some help but Rihanna has always said she wants to be hands-on. She’s a very caring person and very nurturing.”

According to Daily Mail (somehow) obtained a copy of the child’s birth certificate. He’s believed to be named in honor of the producer and rapper RZA from Wu-Tang Clan, the American hip-hop collective formed in Staten Island in 1992. Baby RZA also shares his middle name with his dad and it means “noble stone” or “noble protection” in Old English.

Rihanna previously revealed that she’s not really interested in showing her baby or his name out to the public but we have been blessed with some snaps on Instagram. She told The Washington Post, “We just didn’t get around to [revealing his name ] yet really. We’ve just been living. But I guess there’s a certain freedom that comes with, kind of, just, like, getting it out there.” In the interview, she also revealed that the Super Bowl is the only event in which she wants to do after she gave birth. “If I’m going to leave my baby, I’m going to leave my baby for something special,” she said.
