Justice Aboki confirmed as female chief judge of Kano

No-nonsense Justice, Justice Dije Aboki has been confirmed Kano state house of Assembly as the substantive Chief Judge of the North-West state. 

The lawmakers confirmed her appointment on Thursday, July 6, after the Speaker, Ismail Falgore read a letter forwarded by Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf during Thursday’s plenary.

Kano State House of Assembly also confirmed three more commissioner-nominees sent to the Assembly by Gov. Kabir-Yusuf. The nominees screened were Ibrahim Fagge, Ibrahim Namadi and Amina Abdullahi-Sani.

This appointment marks a significant milestone in the life of Justice Dije Aboki’s remarkable legal career and education, which began at Tudun Wada Primary School in Kano and led her to the pinnacle of the judiciary in Kano State.

Justice Dije’s legal career began as a State Counsel, from where she rose through the ranks to become a judge of the high court. While at the high court, she consistently demonstrated excellence in the dispensation of justice.
