Wale Samson: There Is Someone With Password To Your Next Move In Life

Wale Samson, A graduate of Geology and Mining Basic in Petroleum Engineering from Ogun State University, has created a niche for himself in the business of creating cum manipulation of stage and concert lighting effects.
Eloquent Mr Wale Samson, the first son of Bishop Tom Samson, is deeply involved in church ministerial activities, and runs his business simultaneously.
When it comes to stage, and event management, lighting effects, sounds and screen, Wale Samson is the numero uno, he has perfected the art through rigorous learning and perseverance.
It may surprise you that Wale Samson, as a conglomerate entity runs a foundation called Wale Samson Foundation, a radio station; Tommywa
Studio, Tommywa Event Company, Tommywa Properties and Tommywa Logistics.
The MD/CEO of Tommy Walson Events Company is humble, respectful and cheerful, he gives back to society the income coming-in from his business outfits.
CREEKVIBES OLUWADAMILARE DANIELS asked the MD/CEO of Tommy Walson Events Company how he became a big player in the business of Photoelectric Effect, he said, “I just had a passion for singing, but each time I go to a concert, I discovered that I like the ambience created by the light effects, so curiosity took me in, so I decided to know the nitty-gritty of how the light engineer does the magic and that was how it all started.”
“I started to learn how it is been done with the aid of some online videos, after a while I did a concert and hired pieces of equipment so it dawned on me that I could do something like this.
So I went to Alaba Market, with the sum I had, and bought some stuff and I started to use them, later on, customers began to come for the rent of my lighting equipment.
So the little resources coming in from the rents of Tusks and other effect handlers, I put back into the business by purchasing more items, so as time goes on the principle of multiplication started in my business, I give God the glory He has enlarged our capacities.”
Pastor Wale Samson, head of administration and Crusade Director under his father’s ministry, Christ Royal Family International Church, Ikeja was lured into the photoelectric lighting effect business by his passion for music and entertainment.
CREEKVIBES OLUWADAMILARE DANIELS asked the MD/CEO of Tommy Walson Studio, Pastor Wale if he has any iota of regret in his chosen path of business, he responded that “Anyone that follows God can never regret.”
I do more of an evangelical mission, the little God has given me is for the ministry; the remaining token I spent on equipment and other services, whoever so ever has been gifted has a purpose, apart from making money there is a place of ‘Kingdom Impact’ and interest for everyone.
For anybody that has a school, the primary purpose is to educate apart from the income it generates, who so ever is a lawyer, has a gift to advocate for people that needs a support system, so whatever God has given us, has a ministerial assignment in it.”
Happily married Pastor Wale is blessed with beautiful sons, and daughters. He went back memory lane during a tragic life-threatening happenstance when night marauders visited their apartment, how his mother got shot during the night attack, how tension and apprehension engulfed the entire family and eventually how the situation was brought under control.
He took a few questions from the CREEKVIBES STAMP OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS Convener, Oluwadamilare Daniels. Excerpts;

Hope your charges are affordable.
We have charges for everyone, either slim or low budget we ensure we give you what your money can afford because you can call later for higher effects and part with higher sums.
Who are your clients?
We’ve got a lot of clients, I can’t even remember.
Can we have some names?
Churches; Corporate bodies; Politicians, Individuals and students.
What is the name of your NGO?
Wale Samson Foundation, it is purely my little way of helping the needy, I visit the motherless babies’ homes regularly.
Are you also open to the collection of items from the public or aid from UN organizations?
I have not partnered with anybody like that, what I do is in my capacity, so I am not expecting anything from anybody for now.

What is the capacity of your staff?
I have not less than 50 staff; some are hired, and I have 10 deaf and dumb also working with me.
Are you saying you’ve got some deaf and dumb working in your company; how do you relate with them?
They are cool, to me it’s a way of helping the needy, I succeeded in getting them off the street begging, I took them in and taught them stuff they could get done, it’s a kind of giving them job opportunities so each time we go to an event they get paid.
Some of them have families, and from the payment they get, they offset school fees, pay house rent and take care of their families.
Initially, it wasn’t easy communicating with them but because I want to get them off the street, I went as far as learning the signs of their language to communicate with them.
Some of them are living in apartments my company paid for, we did that for easy mobility. One of them was able to get a welding machine from me because he developed an interest in the job, if there is maintenance to be done within the office. he takes charge, and sometimes if he has external jobs, I ensure the driver takes him there.
How many years have you put in the light effect business?
It is almost 10 years now.
What are the challenges so far?
I know there are lots of competitors in the industry, but I have adopted an ideology, ‘if you give a customer what he will never get elsewhere, he will keep coming back’.
Once you render a good service to somebody and people get to see it, referrals will start rolling in due to good recommendations.
From time to time we upgrade the standard of our equipment.
Sometimes we could have financial constraints but, we have always trusted God to touch the hearts of Kings for our sake, we pray for that mega job that will sustain us financially.
A last word for our reader?
For every individual that does one or two stuff to survive, I want you to know that there is a place for the help of God, your destiny helper is somewhere; there is someone that carries the password to your next move in life. Everything we do is by His grace.
