Splendour, Splendid Dreams Youth Empowerment And Entrepreneurship Initiative Soar High

Splendid Dreams youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Initiative boss, Splendour Onuma, is a deft humanitarian. She holds a Degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Relations. Splendour’s NGO focuses on promoting entrepreneurism among youths, with an emphasis on developing the girl child. It also fights against gender-based violence.
She started her career by incorporating the Splendid Dreams Youth Empowerment and entrepreneurship initiative (SDYEEI) six years ago to promote community development, skill acquisition programs, back-to-school projects etc.
She had earlier worked as a consultant to various companies with an emphasis on issues related to education, unemployment, poverty, and community development. The NGO, in less than six years of incorporation, has succeeded in orchestrating girls and youths in Nigeria and Ghana into meaningful and life-sustaining vocational.
The UN rescue Ambassador channels youth to participate in decision-making and women empowerment.
Some of the programmes carried out by her NGO in Nigeria and Ghana are enumerated below:
- Produced professionals in paint-making formulation, make-up artist, digital marketing, photography, and Web development.
- Advocacy/sensitisation to prevent gender-based violence
- Youth involvement in decision-making and personal development
- Partnership with relevant organisations concerned with youth, children and women empowerment.
- Managing mental health in schools through mentorship and promoting personal hygiene.
She has produced and directed a movie to fight the scourge of gender-based violence.
She often visits IDP camps and reaches out to the less privileged in hospitals, orphanages, including the schools of visually impaired persons.
