The bullying that Ilebaye, the self-styled Gen Z Baddie who recently emerged as the winner of the BBNaija All-Star Reality TV Show was subjected to by the other housemates contributed to her victory..
One of the highlights of the just concluded reality TV show was when Ilebaye woke up to find all her belongings thrashed, that singular act of bullying by the housemates contributed to her emergence as the winner of the grand prize of N120m and other prizes.
Throughout the show, Ilebaye, who was the youngest of all the housemates was subjected to different forms of bullying from her older housemates. From Venita to Angel, Tolanibaj to Ike and CeeC to Seyi, the young lady endured a torrid time on the show which won her a lot of pity from viewers of the show.
The show has had a history of Nigerians depending on emotion to pick the winner of the show. Efe, Laycon, Phyna, and Whitemoney are examples of former housemates who emerged winners based on pity parties from Nigerians.
In the case of Ilebaye, many Nigerians on social media opined that her fate as the winner of the show was decided on the day Ike in connivance with other housemates decided to thrash her belongings.
According to a user identified as Aura Cool with the handle @TweetOracle, Ilebaye was crowned winner of the show on the day that Ike vandalized her belongings.
“If we are being honest, this season was decided on that fateful day that Ike vandalised Ilebaye’s belongings. The horrific look on Baye’s face and the subsequent outcry was what moved a lot of neutrals thronging to her side. Mercy Eke’s only crime was being a previous winner” he tweeted via his verified handle.
Another user, Ajé omo Olókun with the handle @BusolaLad agrees.
“Congrats Ilebaye!! Special thanks to Tolanibaj, Seyi Venita and Ike! Y’all handed her the money” he also tweeted.
On her part, Benin City Cake Baker/Food Vendor zigisempire.stan with the handle @trypresh220 opined that Ike and Doyin gave Ilebaye the ticket to win the show.
“Ike gave Ilebaye the ticket to win #BBNaijaAllStars and Doyin contributed by her reaction to the issue at different times. That incident birthed a lot of fans for Ilebaye and gave her the ultimate win” she tweeted.
It was earlier reported that Ilebaye was crowned the winner of the Big Brother Naija All Stars season pipping Mercy Eke to the title.
The show host, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, announced her as the winner during the show finale on Sunday after scoring 30 percent of the total votes cast. She carted home the N120 million cash prize and other prizes from the sponsors of the show.
