SUCCESS LACES BUZOPAT CHARITY BALL COMMUNITY OUTREACH FOR WIDOWS
Clear the road we are here to say thank you to God for a successful Buzopat charity ball community outreach for the widows in AMUWO ODOFIN community and it’s environs(Season 7) Meljenstin Empowerment Initiative NGO have done over 80 humanitarian Events in different projects and has been consistent in each, year in year out. It was a sight to behold on thursday 16th of November 2023 at Rockview Hotel, Festac, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos. As early as 7am the widows have started gathering.
This community outreach is to show care, empathy, compassion and understanding towards those that have lost their husbands. The question on everybody’s lips after seeing what was on ground was how does this woman do this
The President/ Founder of MYEI NGO is Hon.Amb.Chibuzo Patrick Osigwe aka Buzopat, she is good at everything she does, very talented, very accomplished lady and a great role model for women everywhere. She is a loving wife, mother and a humanitarian who puts so much effort into her causes to help others and make a difference. What she does is exceptionally unique and very commendable.
The event began with artiste Real One performance and motivational MC Pato on the microphone. It was wonderful with Star boy performing I LOVE MY MOTHER COS SHE IS A WONDER WOMAN. The Widows danced with joy .The students from No Limits School, Festac Senior, Festac Girls and Festac Grammar school were present and presented power packed dramas that showed what widows, orphans and physically challenged people go through in the hands of wicked family members and neighbours. The participants all got Treasures money cannot buy, one of the books authored by Amb Buzopat
The NGO wonder woman provided plenty bags of rice, clothes, cartons of indomies, dishwasher, microwaves, nylon sealer machine, pressure pots, breakable plates, frying pans, hot flasks, bread pan, hand bags, cartons of tomato, Pots, wheelchair, walking aide, walking sticks etc Then brochures, exercise books, cartons of bababeefroll, Viva milk drink, Extra peanut,malt, puff puff, minerals and bottle water were on ground for everyone.
The event had Prestigious Motivational Award recipients in attendance, they were people who through dint of hard work and determination excelled in relevant fields of endeavour and still touch lives of the less privileged in exceptional ways. Prestigious motivational award is the leading inspiration of honour for achievement in Entrepreneurship Creativity Innovation Public service Entertainment and Sustainable community development in Nigeria. Those that were honoured were Dr. Uche Ewelike as The Most Consolidated Personality of the year. Mr Stephen Ubah EMR as The Good Will Ambassador, Queen Christy Amalu as The Visionary Personality, General Chikelue Iloenyosi as The Sports Icon of the year, Nkolika Anadu as The bold and vibrant person, DPO Balogun Gboyega as The Most Innovative Officer, Mr Adams Imonikhe as The Most Dynamic man and Mr Clint Agwo as The Amazing Personality of the year 2023. They were happy and excited about everything that happened.
Atmosphere changed in the venue when the cerebral palsy girl who doesn’t walk got the wheelchair from Amb Buzopat. People were over the moon with joy and tears flowed freely .
The beautiful and emotional moment was when the widows prayed for the convener Hon. Amb Buzopat Osigwe, it was so touching that you could feel the open heaven if you are in the spirit..
Mrs Nkoli Umeze Darby, the Lagos state Educational district coordinator Mr Alade, the DSS, other dignitaries too numerous to mention, DJ Simao, Lucky and Gideon photos, Health farm products, Emeka Switche, Madam Jumoke, Mr Patrick, Pa Vincent, Madam Sally Your attendance truly made a difference and contributed to the event’s success. Your involvement was greatly acknowledged and appreciated . To Rockview Hotel management especially Mr Godfrey the GM, We couldn’t have accomplished so much without your help and hard support.
To all the widows that came, we had almost 400 of you, it made sharing crazy but we gave our best a pray that next time heaven will bring helpers and supporters, giving gives me joy and happiness, We are grateful no one left empty. I want to do more by his grace. To Fidel Osigwe I truly appreciate the confidence you showed in me, I value the insights and guidance you provide, thank you.One of the guests were asked how he felt about the event and he has this to say
“One thing about Buzopat is that she works hard. From her NGO works on drug addiction, widows, education, physically challenged, orphans etc to her PR engagements, to her books , her movies, her Inspirational coaching and philanthropic efforts, she is constantly working, constantly breaking down barriers, and constantly making sure that people’s lives are better. She advocates that you must do stuff that matters” not because you have but because you care.
To the Government both Local Government, State Government, Federal Government, Corporate bodies, Ministries in charge of little trust fund to support passionate NGO’s that are reaching out sincerely to vulnerable indigenous people. We seriously need financial support, if this NGO pulls this from self sustained effort, imagine what they will do if there is a grant channelled to them.
