Queen Okafor: I have no regrets, but learnt lessons

Nollywood ageless actress Queen Okafor, the s@xy mama who takes the lead role in the majority of her scenes characters, she is a mother, a producer, an entrepreneur, and one of Nigerian most sort after actresses whose calendar is filled with scene roles yet to be taken.
The top stunning TV diva, in this interview with Creekvibes OLUWADAMILARE DANIELS, talked about how she manoeuvred in the University of Ibadan despite not being an indigene. Excerpt;

Can you please introduce yourself, madam?

My name is Queen Okafor, a Nollywood actor; I am an indigene of Imo State.

From which local government area?

Orlu, Oru East Local Government Area, to be precise.

Are both parents from the same state?

No, my mum is from Onitsha in Anambra State

Can we say your ageless beauty is given to you by your mum?

Not really, I have a striking resemblance with my father; he is very handsome.

What did you study at the University of Ibadan?

I studied Economics.

How did you survive in Ibadan despite not being fluent in Yoruba language?

I made some Yoruba friends, so it was not hard for me to mingle.

Can you share some funny experiences with us?

I did not record any; I hardly mingled with too many friends; it was school work and assignments.

What attracted you to acting in Nollywood?

I am passion-driven; I have got no inspiration from anyone.

How many movies have you featured in?

I have lost count.

How many movies have you produced and directed?

I have only produced a movie that will hit the cinemas soon.

Which of your movies got your best?

All my movies have my best because I give my best to all the movies I have ever acted in.

Which of your movies did you play a lead role in?

The majority of my characters are lead roles.

Can you give us a brief from the movie titled the Queen of Nollywood and S@xymama?

I am the cool ‘Queen of Nollywood’ because I am a Queen, and most of my roles are Queen acquainted roles the fact remains that those roles are for Queens like me, and when it comes to S@xymama, I am beautiful and still s@xy at this age, that is the reason why I am been called S@xymama.

How many Nigerian languages do you understand?

I understand Igbo and Yoruba.

Before you pitch your tent with acting, what have you been doing?

I am an entrepreneur who engages in lots of buying and selling.

What are your regrets in general?

In one’s life, there will always be miscalculations that might lead to mistakes, for me, I have no regrets because I have only had lessons.

What advice can you give a young lady falling in love for the first time?

Everybody is entitled to a robust relationship. And if you asked me as a mother, in my own opinion. I will say you need to know what you are going into, as in you need to cocksure of his intentions towards you before you give him your all.

What do you think, you have not achieved, on or off the acting scene?

Well, I would love to play the role of Ezenwanyi (the princess), although I have done something like that before, but I would like to do the intense one, the real Ezenwanyi, that’s the full story of the Ezenwanyi.

Presently can you count how many awards you’ve got?

I have an award to my credit and many are on their way.

As a growing-up young lady, what was your ambition?

I have always wanted to be a great person in life and to excel in everything I do.

What are the most important life lessons you’ve learned?

I have always liked to stay in my circle, speak less; put God first in everything I do, and I know, with God, I will get there.
