Regrettably, prior to joining the movie industry, she had already lost her parents, so the opinions of her late parents cannot be noted over her career. Despite initial reservations from her Ijaw husband who is an indigene of Amasoma in Bayelsa State regarding her career choice, he eventually relented upon witnessing her unwavering passion for the film sector.
Known as the Tripple A of Nollywood, Agnes Anyasodor Abia, an indigene of Imo State, transitioned to being a Bayelsan through marriage. The beautiful thespian started her sojourn in the movie industry since 2021.
Agnes possesses a remarkable linguistic ability which enables to speak and translate fluently the Yoruba, Ijaw, and Igbo languages.
She attended Kuramo College in Victoria Island, and Girls Academy on Simpson Street in Lagos State respectively, she excelled in Mathematics during her high school years while harboring a dislike for Accounting, attributing her struggle with the subject to an unfriendly teacher. Renowned for her stellar performances alongside industry stalwarts in movies like “Beast in the Palace,” “Crazy House Wife 3&4,” “Broken Will,” “Tomorrow,” and “Headless Ghost,” she has portrayed both lead and supporting roles with finesse.
Her accolades include the Best Actress of The Year 2022 Award, and the Best Performing Actress 2022 Award from Bayelsa State.
When asked about her offspring pursuing acting, she revealed that one of her daughters is already involved in the industry.
From the outset of her career, Agnes has demonstrated a commitment to substantial roles, eschewing minor parts in favor of more significant characters.

On set of a movie
What do you want Nigerians to know about the movie industry?
I want Nigerians to understand that our movies are not just meant for entertainment purposes. I hope they can watch our films with the intention of learning valuable lessons. Our movies often convey important messages, and I believe that if viewers approach them with an open mind, they can gain insights and perspectives that can positively impact their lives.
How do you feel when you received a negative review about your acting capacity?
Receiving a negative review about my performance will always pushes me to elevate my skills and bring out the best version of myself. Instead of letting it discourage me, I see it as an opportunity to grow and improve.
When you are not on set, what do you do?
My activities vary depending on what I have available. However, one thing I prioritize is taking a good rest. It helps me recharge and rejuvenate, ensuring that I am ready to give my best when I return to work.
How do you react when you see people perhaps in the market that started pointing at you, saying; “Look at that woman, we saw her on the set of ‘Headless Ghost,’ she is an actress.”
Wao…tt brings me immense joy when I encounter such in public, like at the market, who recognize me as an actress from a specific project. It signifies that my work is being noticed and appreciated. Such moments serve as a validation of my craft and motivate me to continue pursuing my passion.

What is the most significant lessons you have learnt about life?
Life has taught me numerous significant lessons, and it’s difficult to pinpoint just one. Howbeit, if I were to summarize, I would say that the desire to constantly learn and grow is crucial. Embracing new experiences, being open to change, and seeking knowledge are all essential aspects of personal development and living a fulfilling life.
Give few tips on relationship?
When it comes to relationships, I would advise individuals to seek partners who genuinely care for them. It is important not to let your guard down solely because someone claims to love you. True love should be accompanied by respect, trust, and support. It is essential to choose a partner who values and cherishes you.
What legacy will you want to be remembered for?
The legacy I aspire to leave behind is one that emphasizes the value of hard work. I firmly believe that dedication, perseverance, and a strong work ethic are the keys to success. I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams relentlessly and show them that hard work truly pays off in the end.
