Evang Lekan Remilekun-Amos Relishes 2024 UK Tour
Evangelist Lekan Remilekun Amos, a skilled Zion gospel artist hailing from the riverine area of Ondo State, specifically Igbegunrin/Atijere Local Government Area, is the son of the late popular Ilaje gospel artist, Apostle Dr. Remilekun Amos (OOA).
Born on May 27, 1982, in Lagos, he holds a degree in Physics Electronics from The Federal University of Technology Akure, (FUTA) with Btech Hons. Beginning his music career at the tender age of 13 alongside his father, he participated in various gospel music concerts and programs. Following his father’s passing, he launched his solo music career in 2002 with his debut album “Padawa Olu Omo,” dedicated to his father who mysteriously disappeared during a missionary journey in November 2000. Recently returning from the United Kingdom with his team, the gospel music artist graciously relishes some electrifying moments encountered during the tour while fielding questions from CREEKVIBES MOTUNRAYO AKINRUN. What prompted the idea for the UK tour?
The desire of my fans to see me perform live, both physically and spiritually, led to this tour. While it’s not my first time touring the UK, this one is special because it was more fulfilling.
Can you please share the key highlights or standout moments from the tour?
Meeting with people who had previously been touched by my ministerial songs, and encountering them at the music events I organised was a significant moment.
This occurred in different venues throughout the United Kingdom, including Dagenham, Romford, Cardiff, and Manchester, among others.
What was the reaction of the audience in all the cities you performed?
The audience reaction was truly an exciting one, from the airports to the show venues; to the fans connecting with the worship ambience, everything came together seamlessly. We praise God for these achievements.
Were you surprised or moved by the audiences’ reaction in any city?
Although, I was not the main artist at the event in East London, Dagenham, but unexpectedly, I ended up stealing the show with the overwhelming response from the audience. It was an awesome experience for me.
What were the obstacles you and your team members encountered while on the trip?
We tackle the challenges to the best of our capabilities, and I can confidently say that it ended in praise.
What was the impact of Bright Night Media and Infinity International Promotions on the success of the tour?
Bright Night Media & JTB Infinity have been my international promoters for an extended period now, they effectively managed all aspects of my tour and it turned out to be a remarkable success.
How did teamwork and collaboration play a pivotal role in the success of your performances?
This was crucial for me due to the uniqueness of my music genre. Touring with my crew simplified the delivery of my music brand at each event. Also working with other talented musicians had a significant impact on expanding my fan base too, and it significantly increases the acceptance of my kind of music.
How do you view fan engagement?
To me fan engagement is a crucial synergy between myself and the fans. I dedicate my utmost time, effort, and resources to uphold it because it is the bedrock for my brand upliftment.
Are there any upcoming projects or events that will excite your staunch fans?
We are currently involved in numerous projects, like preparing for upcoming tours, planning to release an album this year, and organizing an end-of-year crusade to mark my dad’s remembrance this year.
