My Team Contributed To Make Lagos A Progressive State, Served Three Dispensations

By OLUWADAMILARE DANIELS
Honourable Kazeem Abdulraheem Adewale (Pariedanu), a distinguished former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, served with distinction during the dispensations of three governors.
Born in the Magbon Alade Community of Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, he was chosen to represent his constituency, Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 2, spanning from Solu Orunmija to Folu Lekki LCDA, demonstrating his commitment to his roots.
His political journey commenced in 2011, and he concluded his service in 2023. Throughout his time in the House, his contributions were profoundly impactful, particularly in collaboration with his colleagues. Notably, the enactment of the land grabber law and the establishment of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Corps were significant achievements that stemmed from the collective intellectual efforts of his team, to mention a few.
He served with dedication under the leadership of former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode and the current governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
CREEKVIBES Magazine inquired from the Honourable whether he harboured any regrets regarding unfulfilled aspirations during his tenure.
He articulated that life is characterized by ongoing developments, and governance is inherently a continuous endeavour.
He expressed that, had he remained in office, there would still be numerous objectives he would pursue. He stated, “I do not have any regrets; I am grateful to Allah to be part of the team that has contributed to making Lagos State a progressive entity today.”
Furthermore, when asked about the inspiration behind the establishment of Abula Resort and its name, he elaborated on his extensive travels and experiences with various hotels and resorts worldwide, as well as his connections with the bigwigs within the hospitality business.
He emphasized his intention to integrate the knowledge acquired from his global experiences into his hospitality business, viewing the resort as a means of giving back to his community, which has supported him throughout his political journey.
He noted the positive reception of the resort by the people of Ibeju-Lekki, and also highlighted ongoing developments such as a children’s park, car wash, swimming pool, and petrol station among others, expressing confidence in its competitive standing against other resorts globally when the resort will be launched at the end of all constructions.
Finally, he credited his wife, a graduate of Home Economics, for providing a significant name to his venture; “Abula Resort” which she conceived. Her aim was to create a name that resonated with local culture, and Abula fits in. “Abula” refers to a beloved combination of two traditional soups commonly cherished by the Yorubas.
Today, Abula Resort has emerged as a prominent name in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, and across Nigeria.
