Cloud9Dancers Set To Rule Nigeria, Africa
Cloud9dancers consists of 17 members, led by Kelvin Lordson, a native of Aninri Local Government Area in Enugu State, who has always passive dance as a unique element. Kelvin serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the rapidly emerging dance group known as Cloud9dancers. In addition to his leadership role, he is also a choreographer, engages in freestyle dance, acts, and works as a model.
The group was established in 2011 with four members; however, they faced some misunderstandings that led to a temporary hiatus. They regrouped in 2021 and achieved victory at the Asaba Stunt Street Dance competition, demonstrating their potential to represent Delta State in dance competitions nationwide.
The crew of 17 members is represented by three exceptional dancers: Chigozie Henry Jibunoh, popularly referred to as Danboss, an actor from Akwukwu Igbo (Ogbani) in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. As the team leader, his dance styles showcase contemporary dance, hip-hop, Afrobeat, and he performs stunts with remarkable ease.
He stated, “I’m determined to reach my goals when it comes to dance. I aspire to exceed expectations, and by observing my role models and mentors, such as Richiee Emmanuel, Precious Pboy, Mr. P, and others, I hope to advance in my dancing craft.”
Azubuike Emmanuel Abel, otherwise known as Juniorwave, hails from Port Harcourt, precisely Ahoada East Local Government Area in Rivers State. He is an outstanding choreographer with nine years of extensive experience, and his expertise encompasses freestyle and stunt dancing.
Abel Rubby, also known as Rubbyansky, is the female representative with an exceptional choreographer’s skills; she showcases unparalleled freestyle dance moves.
