Ibru Dynasty Loses Oscar @ 67

Olorogun Oscar Ibru, a billionaire industrialist and the chairman of the Ibru Organisation, has passed away at the age of 67.
His family confirmed the news on Tuesday, revealing that he died following a brief illness. They did not share additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.
Oscar Ibru was a significant figure in Nigeria’s corporate sector and one of the most notable heirs of the Ibru dynasty. He played an essential role in maintaining and growing the family conglomerate established by his late father, Olorogun Michael Ibru, which has substantial interests in shipping, oil and gas, real estate, and commerce.
His death signifies the conclusion of another chapter in one of Nigeria’s most powerful business families. The family is expected to announce funeral arrangements in the upcoming days.
Recognized as both a businessman and a guardian of his family’s legacy, Oscar Ibru continued the entrepreneurial spirit that established the Ibru Organisation as one of Nigeria’s most recognizable corporate entities. Under his guidance, the group remained a source of employment and wealth generation, while also contributing to philanthropic and cultural endeavors.
His passing represents another sorrowful moment for the Ibru family, following the death of the dynasty’s patriarch, Michael Ibru, in 2016.
