The Niger Delta Advancement Awards 8.0 has officially revealed the list of nominees following the conclusion of its nomination period. The unveiling, which was an interactive session, occurred at the PHLAT4 Event Centre in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025. According to the President/Founder, Mr. Oxford T. Okpalefe, “there was a significant increase in public participation, with over 50,000 entries received primarily from Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ondo, Imo, and Abia states. Following the closure of nominations, we undertook the sorting of entries, research and evaluation, consultations with stakeholders, and the compilation of the nominees’ list. Subsequently, we meticulously configured the online voting system to ensure a seamless voting experience for the public. Voting will commence on the website after the unveiling.”

Additionally, Mr. Oxford T. Okpalefe remarked, “we have 56 categories and 840 nominees in this edition competing for victory. For the complete list of nominees, please visit our website. We urge all nominees to take their campaigning and voting efforts seriously, as awareness and participation from other states have significantly increased. A nominee’s complacency could lead to unforeseen competition from nominees in other states.”
