GWIM Seeks More Collaboration, Sponsorship of Programmes In 2026,  Says  2025 Scorecard Was Commendable

Giant Women in Media ( GWIM ) reviewed her activities for the year 2025 and score self high, saying her courtesy visits for the year  brought about changes and added value just like her other programs.

In a press release, the President of GWIM Ms. Clementina Olomu thank those who responded to the request for courtesy visits saying the outcome of those visits open vista for new path, tackled challenges and expose areas for further discuss and national developments.

Speaking on some of the association programmes for the year she said  working on this year’s activities was awesome, the inspirational talks for the Girl Child was fruitful . She urged more , Non Governmental Organizations   (NGO ) agencies to keep creating awareness and educate the Girl Child which she says is a necesity. Olomu stated that what most of them need are mentors , constructive and exemplary role model to assist and sharpen their path so they live their dreams, have a fulfill and promising life.

She says this digital age and social media is giving them false hope, exposing them to fake lives which she said is highly injurious to their wellbeing growth and mental wellness. Hence all hands need to be on deck for the stable growth of the Girl Child since they are the pillars of tomorrow’s home and Giant keepers of our fathers and contributors to the growth , progress and developments of tomorrow’s Nation and economy.

On the activities for the International Day for Rural Women, Olomu says, rural women deserves more than they are getting. That GWIM involvement with them shows that dividend of democracy has been centralised by the political class.. she says GWIM will do a lot more in the coming year, drawing Government attention and the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu to areas of concern to their plight

She urged the First Ladies of the various States to put structures in place that will benefit, including  Empowerment Project, this she says will be an added value.

She stated further that some of these rural areas don’t have Health Centres, where they exist, they lack qualified Health Practitioners. This she said are some of GWIM ‘s  agenda for 2026, *Medical Outreach* in the rural areas, partnering with NMA, Minister of health and  office of the first Ladies of each state.

She however stated that the theme for GWIM in the coming year 2026, is *spreading love and light* and will be done via the association programmes for 2026..

Also lined up as part of her activities for the year, apart from the medical outreach, is GOALS, a program meant for senior secondary schools and tertiary institutions. Others are,  Skill Acquisition for the Girl Child, Boosting Poverty Alleviation and election awareness sensitisation programs. .

GWIM is a collection of female journalists, who also  leads their respective news blogs and command significant social media mileages..
