Celebrating The Life, Times of Madam Nora Udoh

All roads from Abuja, Lagos, and various regions of Nigeria will lead to Ikot Akpabio, Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, this weekend, where the late Mrs Nora Jarlath Udoh, who departed at the venerable age of 98, will be interred.
Her entire family will gather to honour her legacy and celebrate her life. Throughout her lifetime, she was a mother to all, bridging the gap for both her biological children and the wider community. To her, every child was significant, and she embraced all children as her own, providing support as far as her resources allowed.
She held the position of a community leader and was also a prominent member of her faith, recognised as a female leader within the church.
She was raised and lived during a time when everyone was regarded as someone’s mother and child. This was a role she fulfilled exceptionally well, earning the affectionate title of Mama, known by all in her community and neighbourhood.
Udoh, who lived to the age of 98, answered the call of the Almighty, exhibiting mental, emotional, and physical strength in her later years, and was deeply devoted to prayer.
One of her daughters, Hon Evangelist Josephine Odungide (Mrs.), described her as a prayer warrior who instilled the importance of prayer in her children, both at night and in the morning, noting that her night vigils were powerful and consistently yielded answers to her prayers.
Mama was elegant, beautiful, and fashionable. She embodied love, selflessness, and a laid-back demeanour, brimming with intelligence and being a remarkable entrepreneur.
This week, she will be honoured by her biological children, family members, well-wishers, and all who knew her.
Consequently, the children of her generation will convene at the Udoh compound in Ikot Akpabio, Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, on Thursday, April 16th, to celebrate her lasting legacies and her final journey home.
Hon Evangelist Josephine Odungide and the entire Udoh family will commemorate the life and legacy of Mrs Nora Udom this weekend in Akwa Ibom.
