Ambassador Dare Mojeed is currently one of Nigeria’s budding cinematographers, skillfully managing camera movements to convey and shape the audience’s perspectives in productions; he did wonders on the sets of Unsaid, Neema, and Oko Rere.

His camera undoubtedly serves as the audience’s window into a captivating narrative. Ambassador Mojeed, a proficient movie director, has honed his innovative camera techniques and lighting skills to deliver high-quality storytelling, while also making appearances in several films.

The Ogun State-born movie director was raised in the welcoming community of Ilupeju in Lagos State. He adopted the name ‘Dahrey Mojeed’ on social media to enhance his visibility among his expanding audience.

Ambassador Mojeed shared insights into his Nollywood journey, revealing that he commenced his career in 2003 after completing a 6-month cinematography training.

He also reminisced about his secondary school days at Ilupeju College Ilupeju, Obanikoro Lagos State.

Reflecting on his academic experience, Ambassador Mojeed disclosed that economics was his favourite subject, while accounting posed a challenge.

He recalled gaining popularity in high school during his final two years, eventually becoming the class captain and forming close bonds with his teachers.

When asked about his parental upbringing, Ambassador Mojeed described it as a balanced blend of strictness and warmth. With his focus on producing, directing, and cinematography, he mentioned that he rarely takes on acting roles, having produced four movies and made appearances in a few.

As for Netflix standards, he acknowledged the stringent criteria required to reach that level of recognition.

However, as life unfolded, I discovered my passion for the movie industry and decided to pursue it wholeheartedly. I have a crush on Bimbo Oshin.

One must exhibit brilliance and intelligence.

How do you get inspiration on some of the movies you were featured in?

Inspiration for my actions on movie sets often stems from observations of my surroundings or even from dreams.

What do you think can make a movie role challenging?

A challenging movie role would involve portraying a character I have never played before.

How do you react when you receive a negative review about your performance?

Negative reviews serve as constructive criticism to help me improve.

If you could swap lives with any fictional character for a day, who would it be?

I wouldn’t swap lives with any fictional character as I believe in being the best version of myself.
