NSCDC arrests four suspects over r@ping, genital mutilation in Niger state

The NSCDC Niger State Command has apprehended a group of four individuals for the heinous crime of gang-r@ping a 13-year-old girl who is a student in Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS 1) in Pandogari town, Rafi Local Government Area of the state.
During the parade of the suspects in Minna on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the state commandant of the Corps, Joachim Okafor, revealed that the syndicate was also responsible for mutilating the g@nitals of a three-year-old boy. According to the suspects, they were instructed by a witch doctor named Baba Sada to obtain the male organ to be used to prepare a charm to fortify them against gunshots and knife attacks.
Okafor, speaking on behalf of the Second-in-Command of the Niger State NSCDC, Abdulhamid Kabara, explained that the suspects’ luck ran out when the 13-year-old victim, Fatima Usman, managed to escape from an unfinished building where they had taken her on the outskirts of Pandogari. He said; “A 13-year-old girl named Fatima Usman, a JSS 1 student at Government Day Secondary School Pandogari, had an encounter with a notorious gang of boys who specialize in raping, maiming, and killing school children.
After receiving numerous threats from one of the gang members, Fatima Usman reported the matter to the school principal, Mohammed Aketa,” he stated. “On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the school principal informed the security operatives about the situation, and a plan was devised. Using Fatima as bait, the operation was executed flawlessly, resulting in the arrest of the individual who had been threatening her life. This person identified himself as Aliyu Amiru, a 20-year-old male. During the investigation, he provided information about other members of the syndicate.”
