Femmia: Wine It & Fine Girl… Ready to Take Over

Awoyemi Suraj Olorunfemi, who goes by Femmia as his stage name, is a Nigerian music artiste, his experience span across two decades; he has succeeded in attracting thousands of fans with his introspective yet danceable music.

He has mastered his trade optimally in dishing out Hip hop, R&B, Reggae, Fuji and Juju music, he is a multifaceted musician on every genre.

Femmia as he is fondly called got his music intuition at the age of 6, while as an attendees at C&S Church in Olorunsogo area of Ibadan, Oyo State, South West, Nigeria, while he was still in secondary school he flies in the face of anoining laced songs of early Cherubim and Seraphim choir who are gifted in pouring forth stream of endless improvised melodious songs of praise in local Yoruba dialects, having grown within the confinement of the Holy Spirit he orchestrated a routine of improvised English choir which attracted applause within his congregation and also from other neighboring churches.

He attended Ebeneseri African Church School, Salvation Army, Oke Padre, Ibadan and graduated to Holy Trinity Grammar School, Old Ife Road, for his higher education he attended and graduated with Bachelor of Arts (BA)degree from the prestigious University of Jos, Theatre Art Department.

He gained prominence in 2003 after he released Sweetest Taboo which went viral, while serving as a Youth Corper in the middle belt, he released The food of Love, a coinage from a quote from world’s greatest dramatist who was regarded as the greatest writer in English literature, Williams Shakespare, the music was produced by Jeremiah Gyang, and it was on the lip of every household within the middle belt Nigeria.

He is done with his new release ‘Wine it’ and ‘Fine Girl’which are futuristic song ready to takeover, produced by K-Solo.

Femmia, who was an entertainment presenter at MiTV in Ibadan relocated to Lagos since 2015, spoke with Creekvibes Oludaniels but guided the name of the lucky woman in his life as he plans to walk down the aisle as soon as he hit the fame button.

He however, when asked who is on the first five on his play list, he said, “1, Koffee known as Mikayla Simpson, a Jaimacan, 2, Tems known as Temilade Openiyi, 3, Omah Lay, 4, Barry Jhay” 5, Fire boy, optimistic Femmia said; in five years, he would have won some international awards, Grammy inclusive, and own an automobile company with state of the art estate.
