Excerpts;
Tell us about the emergence of the name ‘Pitakwa1’.
During my early days in Nollywood, I had the opportunity to be a part of a movie called ‘5 Days of War’ where I portrayed the character Pitakwa1. As the movie was released, people began associating me with that name. Initially, I felt frustrated because it was merely a role I played. Despite my resistance, my colleagues persisted in using it, leading to some conflicts. Eventually, I decided to embrace it and surprisingly, it turned out to be quite favourable.

Have you had any altercation with any actress/actor in the industry or in the cause of displaying your God-given craft?
I cannot recall any dramas as I consciously steer clear of them. I consistently remain focused on my path, and I am known for being a person of few words. I highly cherish my personal space.
How many of your movies reckoned with the Netflix Standard?
I am unable to comment on that. Nevertheless, I have created several top-notch movies. I am a perfectionist and constantly pursue the highest standards.
How many awards to your credit?
None. I’ve done well enough to receive one, and I know very soon, I will be honoured with one.
Do you have a celebrity crush?
I love Genevieve, I could marry her, age difference notwithstanding.
How would someone get your special attention?
I am attracted to intelligence and consider myself sapios@xual. I greatly admire intelligent women and believe that beauty alone is not enough for me. I prefer a combination of both brains and beauty. When it comes to physical attraction, I do appreciate a woman with a busty figure, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be interested in someone with smaller breasts. (General laughter). As I mentioned earlier, a sharp mind truly captivates me.
Don’t you think at some points the big breast may become a burden when sagging sets in, and this may discourage you in the journey of marriage?

Love plays a crucial role in relationships. When you tie the nuptial in marriage, it signifies being there for each other through both the good and the challenging times. With frail and fallen boobs, I’ll still love the love that I chose to love. (Chuckles).
What does a man want in a woman?
Friendship, solace, adorable children, emotional harmony, tranquil, support system, encompass all that comes with the other room. (Collective chuckles)…
What gives your inspiration for some of the actions you displayed on a movie set?
My real-life encounters have motivated me, the struggles and suffering stemming from poverty, I will also highlight my humble upbringing as a contributing factor. I perform to convey emotions, and also to bring to life; I dedicate myself to the art. Acting served as a saving grace for me, a source of comfort. My motivation comes from deep within. I strive for a brighter tomorrow, not dwelling on the past.
How many countries have you gone to in the cause of your profession?
Many, I’ve lost count.
Have you had issues with immigration officers?
I have never encountered any immigration problems. In most cases, they recognize me by my face, and I prefer to maintain my dignity rather than speak in a complex manner. (Laughter).
Which actors will you identify as your role models; local/international?
My role models include Chris Tucker, Pete Edochie, Sylvester Madu, and Nkem Owoh. Additionally, I find Lowkey and Zubby Michael to be a great source of inspiration for many young actors from the East.

What do you believe is the most challenging aspect of being an actor?
Maintaining fame requires staying level-headed and acquiring the skills to establish oneself early on, to avoid becoming famous but financially destitute.
How do you react when you receive a negative review about your performance?
I thoroughly dedicate my time to watching all of my movies. I am my harshest judge, as I strive to constantly enhance my skills.
It requires a genuine friend to honestly point out the flaws in your performances. I am constantly eager to acquire knowledge and refine my craft. To put it simply, I value constructive criticism and embrace the opportunity to grow.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
Dreams come true. Don’t give up!
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Give me Egusi soup, any time, any day. Give me big brezzz, any time, any day. (Chuckles)
If you could swap lives with any fictional character for a day, who would it be and why?
Okonkwo, the protagonist of “Things Fall Apart,” (but not with a tragic end) is known for his unwavering determination and perseverance. I chose to mention Okonkwo, because I embody the qualities of doggedness and tenacity. I am a resolute individual, and once I set my mind on achieving something, no obstacle can deter me from turning it into reality.
What’s the most ridiculous rumour you’ve ever heard about yourself?
That I have money, where I see money? All of you wey dey talk that thing, I don mark your face!
Thanks and do have a great day.
