Blessing Nanman Tangtur: Brewing New Culture of Wellness, Enterprise, Empowerment

In an era when conversations around wellness are increasingly moving beyond conventional healthcare to embrace healthy lifestyles, mindful choices and sustainable livelihoods, Blessing Nanman Tangtur is building a distinctive space at the intersection of wellness, entrepreneurship and human development.
As the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Lingzhi Global Nigeria Limited, Blessing has spent more than two decade developing a wellness-focused coffee enterprise while simultaneously creating opportunities for education, skills development and economic empowerment.
Based in Lagos, with its head office at 42 Concord Way, Airport Road, Ikeja, Lingzhi Global has grown beyond a conventional coffee business into a platform through which Blessing promotes coffee knowledge, entrepreneurship and what she describes as a more conscious approach to wellness.
Her journey is particularly notable because it combines business experience with an educational background. A native of Plateau State, Blessing has she is fondly called holds a master’s degree in education and has more than two decades of business experience. Her professional journey has taken her through agriculture, education, humanitarian work and the coffee industry, giving her a broad perspective on the relationship between personal wellbeing and economic empowerment.
Making Wellness Part of the Coffee Conversation
For Blessing, coffee is not simply a beverage. Her work has increasingly positioned coffee within a wider conversation about lifestyle, knowledge and wellness.
Over the past 11 years, she has built experience in coffee training, including barista skills, roasting, cupping, processing and packaging. Through this expertise, she has sought to encourage greater awareness of the coffee value chain while creating opportunities for Nigerians and other Africans to participate in the sector.
Her wellness coffee initiative has attracted attention across Africa, contributing to her recognition with the Best Wellness Coffee of the Year 2026 Award from Creek Multimedia, publishers of Creekvibes Magazine.
The recognition celebrates her contribution to the development and promotion of wellness-oriented coffee enterprise, as well as her broader efforts to build knowledge and opportunity around the industry.
Rather than viewing wellness solely through the lens of consumption, Blessing’s work presents another dimension: the wellbeing that can come from knowledge, productive enterprise, employment, skills acquisition and the confidence to build sustainable livelihoods.
Building an African Coffee Enterprise
Under her leadership, Lingzhi Global Nigeria Limited has expanded its presence across Nigeria and into other African markets. The company operates across all 36 states of Nigeria and in 14 African countries, according to the company’s profile.
Its Nigerian locations include the head office in Ikeja, Lagos, as well as branches in Abuja, Jos, Kano and Awka. The company also maintains offices in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Nairobi, Kenya.
This growing network reflects Blessing’s ambition to contribute to the development of an African coffee ecosystem in which local knowledge, entrepreneurship and professional training can support the industry’s growth.
Her international exposure has taken her to Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ghana, the United States, Europe and other African countries. Through these engagements, she has promoted Nigerian products, particularly coffee and grains, while gaining exposure to international approaches to agriculture, business and coffee production.
From Agriculture to Wellness Enterprise
Blessing’s entrepreneurial journey did not begin with coffee.
For more than 14 years, her ventures, including Early Dreams Ventures and Early Dreams Mind, have been involved in grain farming and distribution, supplying businesses across Nigeria.
Her experience in agriculture has given her an understanding of the importance of the entire food and agricultural value chain—from production and processing to distribution and consumption.
That background has also influenced her approach to coffee, where she has focused not only on the finished product but also on training, production knowledge, processing and market development.
At the heart of her business philosophy is the belief that African agricultural products can create both economic value and opportunities for human development when people are equipped with the right knowledge and skills.
Training the Next Generation of Coffee Professionals
One of Blessing’s significant contributions to the coffee sector is the establishment of the Lingzhi Nigeria Coffee Training Center.
The centre provides training for farmers, marketers and entrepreneurs interested in developing professional skills within the coffee industry. It currently has 25 staff members, including 19 from Plateau State, and provides training in different aspects of coffee production and enterprise.
The objective extends beyond teaching people how to prepare coffee. By transferring knowledge in areas such as roasting, processing, cupping, packaging and barista skills, the initiative seeks to strengthen expertise across the coffee value chain.
For Blessing, this emphasis on knowledge is essential to creating a sustainable industry—one in which African participants can move beyond being consumers and become producers, processors, entrepreneurs, trainers and exporters.
Wellness Through Empowerment
Blessing’s understanding of wellness extends beyond business.
Through the Early Dreams Hope Foundation, she has worked with vulnerable and marginalized groups, including people living with learning, visual and hearing impairments.
Her humanitarian initiatives have also included advocacy for women facing difficult circumstances and support for individuals seeking to rebuild their lives through entrepreneurial activities such as tailoring and salon businesses.
These efforts reflect a broader philosophy: that genuine wellbeing is closely connected to dignity, independence, education and economic opportunity.
Her youth empowerment programmes similarly focus on helping young people acquire practical skills, leadership capacity and entrepreneurial knowledge.
Through Lingzhi Global, she has created platforms intended to provide young people with employment opportunities, professional training and exposure to business.
Education as a Foundation for Wellbeing
Blessing’s commitment to education is further reflected in her role as Director of Early Dreams Inclusive Academy, an institution focused on inclusive learning for people living with disabilities.
Her own commitment to continuous learning has also shaped her professional journey. Beyond her master’s degree in education, she has pursued international and professional training in various aspects of the coffee industry.
Her educational philosophy is straightforward: personal development should not end with formal schooling. In a rapidly changing world, continuous learning can become an important component of professional resilience, entrepreneurship and personal growth.
A Wider Vision for Africa
Blessing’s ambition extends beyond building a successful company. She has consistently expressed a vision of seeing Africa play a stronger role in coffee production, processing and trade.
Her experience across different countries has exposed her to diverse coffee markets and business environments. She seeks to apply that knowledge to Nigeria and the wider African market, while encouraging more young people to view agriculture and coffee as viable areas for professional and entrepreneurial development.
The result is an enterprise that brings together several seemingly different fields—coffee, agriculture, education, wellness, humanitarian service and youth empowerment.
A Woman of Purpose
Blessing Nanman Tangtur’s story is one of purpose.
As an entrepreneur, she has built businesses. As an educator, she has championed learning. As a humanitarian, she has supported vulnerable people. As a coffee professional, she has invested in knowledge and training. And as a mentor, she continues to encourage young people and women to pursue meaningful opportunities.
Her recognition as Best Wellness Coffee of the Year 2026 by Creek Multimedia therefore forms part of a larger story—one in which wellness is connected not only to what people consume, but also to how they learn, work, create businesses and contribute to society.
From her base in Nigeria to her growing African footprint, Blessing is using coffee as a platform for a much broader conversation: one about healthier lifestyles, professional knowledge, economic opportunity and the possibility of building a more empowered Africa.
